Signal
Boxes are big!
Lets face it, a full sized signal box just wouldn't fit into
the average garden.
However,
there is a way to have the look of a real signal box, but with
the size of an average garden shed.
The answer is to
scale it down. In effect to make your shed a scale model.
A few minor compromises
are necessary. For a start, we make all our signal boxes 'single
story'.
This means that the position where the first floor would normally
be, is left open and is at waist height.
We also include a normal sized door, (so you can get inside).
However, we can include a miniature staircase and door on one
side of the shed
to create the illusion of size. The miniature door can be made
to open for extra ventilation.
At this point in
time all our signal boxes are of an all wood construction.
We do however recommend building a concrete base with a single
course of brick to stand your signal box on.
For an extra fee we can quote to build the base for you,
but you may want to get your own builder to do this in advance
to save time and possibly money.
All our sheds are
bespoke and for that reason unique. They
all include however:
* Pressure treated, or wood
preserved timber construction.
* Authentic Signal Box design and look.
* Felt Shingled roofs.
* Safety Glass fitted as standard.
* Horizontal sliding sash windows with security locks.
* Fully Lined inside and out. (Interior lining at extra cost).
* A painted finish to your specifications.
